Description: 1901 George Grainger & Co (Royal China Works, Worcester) blush ware floral cake / serving plate with fluted edges. Hand painted over a heavily molded base in multiple colours with pink blush border and gilt highlights around the edge. This glorious plate is beautifully proportioned and has a good weight in the hand. It is in pristine original condition, with no chips, cracks, repairs or restoration that I can identify. Fine kiln marks, glaze faults and enamel smudges are typical for the intensely manual processes of the time and should be expected. The reverse bears the Royal China Works, G&Co, Worcester, England back stamp and a hand written pattern number. I do consolidate postage for multiple items where practical and will refund any difference immediately after postage. Ref 1553
