Description: The 1912 Lincoln cent is known for being the first year using the revised version of the original Abraham Lincoln design. Over 83 million were minted in total between Philadelphia(no mint mark), Denver(D), and San Francisco(S) mints, with a small number of proof coins at the Philadelphia mint only. 4.4 million were minted in San Francisco, the smallest total of the three. The mint mark was attached as the last step in the minting process and in this case was punched more than one time giving it a doubling effect. This rare coin can easily be sold at auction or collected for numismatics and/or heirlooms alike.
