The item in this listing, Les champs de bataille de Verdun, was originally a four-part series based on his lectures about the Battle of Verdun. This and his other work, Les champs de bataille de la Marne, were the first books ever published in color on war. After the war, Courtellemont eventually became a photographer for National Geographic. FORN-TUB-0030-BB-0424-JC596
