Original coin with a strong reeded edge and old folder tarnish, a vintage coin. Inverted mint mark. Very little wear on this coin. Original mint luster shows through somewhat. The obverse seems softly struck, and this can often be confused with actual wear. Reverse seems better struck and shows very little (if any) wear. Coin has a partial raised wire rim obverse. Some head detail (olive leaves look complete), but not minimum full head. No earhole observed and no complete hairline. Some experts may call this partial head. Overall, an outstanding specimen. Note added 02/09/23: I searched this site for "inverted mint mark" and "inverted s" in this date and found nothing. I know it is recognized for the 1928 S. Please let me know if you think this mint mark is not inverted or you have additional information.
