Description: 1940s Black & White Snapshot of The Gateway Inn, along Hwy 26 to Mt. Hood, Oregon in Zig Zag Oregon. Built in 1916. Operated by Gladys Perkins from 1931 - 1948. It was a Cafe, Store, Filling station, and Hotel. (It is now known as the Zig Zag Mountain Country Store and was restored in 2008.) Nice piece of Mt. Hood history. Great View in Winter with Snow. To the right, under a loupe you can make out the "Zig Zag Post Office" sign. Fun advertising: Sunbeam bread sign, Pepsi, Coke, and 7-up. The photo is in good vintage condition. I see some scratches on the photo when looking closely. I think that they are a product of scratches on the original negative. The scanner definitely magnified them. When you look at the photo normally, your eye does not really go to them. This measures 3 1/2" by 5 1/8." Glossy finish. Shipping in the United States will be $1.50 for First Class mail, "non-machinable." I will ship the photo in plastic with cardstock on either side. This service provides NO TRACKING SERVICE. Shipping in the United States will be $4.95 for Ground Advantage if you would prefer tracking service. Also, with Ground Advantage, this would ship with cardboard on either side. You can choose shipping method you prefer at check-out. I am always glad to combine shipping charges for multiple purchases. If you have any questions at all, please contact me. Thank you!
