Description: Up for sale is a check from the Buffalo Tigers, a member of the short-lived American Football League. The check is made out to Tigers halfback Larry Yurkonis. It is a GAME check for the November 9, 1941 game versus the Columbus Bulls. Yurkonis played college football for Niagara. He also played professionally for the Providence Steamrollers. This only one of five such checks of Toth that were ever found. Only four as left. Yurkonis endorsed the check on the reverse. Condition: Three vertical wallet folds - small hole in the middle - minor other wear. The autograph is PERFECT with a few bank holes.
