Description: Travel back in time with this fine 1953 Martin Committee trumpet. The serial no. 184,290 indicates it was built in 1953. It has ordinary age and play wear. There are bits of lacquer finish wear all over. The nub on the second valve tuning slide is missing. I'd call it small bore. Bore size is 0.450"-0.452", as measured at the first and second tuning slide. I believe that means it's a #2, medium bore, correct? Functionally, it plays great. The slides and valves all move properly. It has very recently been serviced at Buckeye Brass & Winds in Plain City, Ohio. They did an ultrasonic cleaning on it; disassembled/degreased it; removed some minor dents; polished and lubricated all the slides; and replaced water key cork. It has a clean bill of health and is ready to play. The service receipt is included. It comes with an old Vincent Bach 12B mouthpiece. It comes inside its original Martin hard case. The handle, latches, and hinges all work. It's a classic All-American trumpet, ready for its next owner. Questions? It will be well packed with plenty of new 1/2" bubble wrap and shipped in a new stout cardboard instrument box.
