Description: From about 1957, it's a classic Wurlitzer 120 electric piano. This is the model Ray Charles immortalized on his early hit "What'd I Say." I've dated it from the single Jensen speaker, which is coded 220702 for January 1957. According to the great DocWurly webiste, Wurlitzer built the 120 from about 1956 to 1962. This one has the natural wood cabinet, not the pink-ish cabinet. I believe it is all original. It is missing only one of the brass wraps that goes around one of the legs. The sheet music rack has been functionally repaired with wood dowel pins. The inside has been cleaned. The single on/off volume pot has been cleaned. We powered it up over two days with a Variac, to preserve the original electronics. Other than that, we've do nothing to it. It does play as is, but could use some ordinary servicing and regulation to bring it up to maximum playability. The middle D key sometimes doesn't spring back into level like the other keys. Today, that D key is behaving, but three days ago it wasn't. The original two-prong cord has some fabric insulation wear, but works. A couple of the keys on the right side of keyboard are slightly chipped on their tips. Cosmetically, it has ordinary age and play wear, with various minor scrapes and scratches. Structurally, it's in good strong shape. Everything is there, including the removable lid. Due to the size and age, it is available for local pickup only, here in Chillicothe, Ohio. We are very easy to arrange pickup times with. Please contact us for payment options for local pickup.
