Description: Up for sale, a 1974 Fender Precision Bass in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. This very well-kept Precision Bass features a one-piece maple neck sculpted by Fender neck guru Herbie Gastelum, who spent more than 50 years working for Fender, known as the “King of Feel” for his incredibly comfortable profile carves. An alder body rounds out the tonewood complement, and this Precision Bass is lightweight at 8lbs 8oz, with a lively, resonant natural acoustic quality. The original gray bobbin split-coil pickup offers clear bass register punch and treble growl, with the extra articulation and snappier note attack of the maple fingerboard. Rolling back the Tone knob yields broad thump, and the pickup has a prominent upper midrange for woody cut and percussive thwack. This Precision bass has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with fresh 45-100 roundwound strings, easy-playing action and accurate intonation.
