Description: Fold-out 1977 road map of Arizona, printed more than 44 years ago. The map opens to 18" x 26½" and has good detail on old highway alignments, including Route 66, with cartography by H.M. Gousha. There are inset plans of Grand Canyon National Park, Phoenix, Tucson, and Lake Mead. The map was distributed by the Western Division of the Chevron Oil Company and is dated 1977 by the code number in the lower margin: 8-YY. The front cover shows a Chevron gas station and the slogan "Stay tuned at this station. Car care the Chevron Way is the economy way." Condition: This map is in very good, lightly used condition, with a couple of tiny spots on the front cover. A previous owner has written some phone numbers on the back cover.
