Here's an 1989 Explorer II Ref 16570, Black Dial, with the original factory finish on the case and killer patina on the hands and lume plots! This comes with inner and outer boxes, blank (open) warranty cert, booklets and sleeve, rolex cloth, red chronometer tag, and 1 extra link on the side. The watch is an L-Serial, which dates the watch to 1989, the first year of production of the Ref 16570. Condition is good for its age. Minor scratches visible that are consistent with 30+ years of careful wear. The bracelet is in good condition with minimar stretch. Case and bracelet both retain the original factory finish-- case has prominent chamfers and the clasp exhibits a bold coronet. Hands and dial original to the watch and the tritium lume has developed a nice patina. The watch was just serviced in Sept 2024 and keeps great time. This is an honest, well-loved and cared for example from Rolex's excellent neo-vintage era, with box papers and trimmings, that would serve as a great daily GADA (go anywhere do anything) watch or investment piece!
