Description: A small, lidded, late 19th or early 20th century, antique, round, basket from the Penobscot culture of Maine. It measures 4 7/8" diameter by 4 tall, by 2 3/4" square at the base. It has an attractive, old, un-touched surface, slightly darker than in the attached images, with minor signs of age and use. It has an attractive, old, un-touched surface, slightly darker than in the attached images, with faded but still apparent decoration in fugitive natural dyes, on the exterior, very bright, still, on the interior, with minor signs of age and use.
