Description: 2 vintage Bennington Potters Pottery Matte White Casseroles #1621 Gil Aida PLEASE READ For your consideration is this set of (2) Matte Whitt Bennington Casseroles #1621 by David Gil & Yusuke Aide. These are being sold as-is. Both casserole bottoms have rim chips and the one with the top and mostly outer rim chip one has some hairlines. But both are still in useable condition. They were made in 2 different production runs and the one with the hairlines is thicker, heavier and has less interior crazing than the second one. The lid only really fits the second one well. This one has a rough interior rim flake/chip well. Thus the first casserole has no lid. The lid to the second, 1621T, has a repaired handle. You can see where it was broken. It seems to be a solid repair although there is a residual small cup/missing ceramic. I didn’t notice it had been repaired until inspection for listing and I removed it using the handle.. Expect other minor imperfections in the pottery typical of early Bennington. Priced with these issues in mind. Casserole bottoms measure approx 8.75”-9” diameter x 3.75” -3-7/8” deep. The one with the lid is about 5.5” tall to top of handle. They will weigh about 10 lbs packed safely. I have a bunch of other listings from this hard-to-find early line listed and will combine shipping when safe and practical. Local pickup near Boston welcome.
