Nahoum writes, "I went to photograph Tupac on his yacht on Catalina Island for this album cover. Once I sat down with him, he opened up about his various troubles plus his upbringing, and I felt I better understood who he was and where he came from. Away from all of the flashing lights, I got to see who he was as a person and was able to capture the essence of Tupac sitting in the dimly lit darkness.
