Keshi pearls form when the oyster or mollusk rejects the implanted nucleus (to which the oyster would normally add layers and layers of pearl nacre) and continues to produce nacre as if the implanted nucleus was still there, so a true and genuine keshi pearl doesn't have a nucleus. The color of these 3 unusual keshi petal pearls is a beautiful warm white with overglows of rainbow colors. They come from my personal stash of treasured pearls from several years ago. Now I realize that I can't keep every pearl or strand that I love, so many are available for creative artisans and pearl lovers to be worn and treasured. This was an early generation of keshi flower petal pearls which was very large for that time, and were quite expensive.
