Description: Adams & Sons Grecian Font Pattern Red Transferware 10 1/4" Plate C. 1830s - 40s Beautiful red transferware plate in the Grecian Font pattern by William Adams and Sons. Marked on the reverse Grecian Font WA & S. This mark was used by William Adams and Sons between 1819 and 1864, but was likely made between the 1830s and 1840s as that is when the red transferware was popular. Has 3 small flakes to the front edge and a tight crack extending off the edge edge about 1 1/2 inch long. Otherwise good condition with no other chips or cracks. Measures approximately 10 1/4 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
