Description: Relisted due to non-payment by a buyer after they had committed to purchasing...For your consideration, Dr4 Watches has on offer a very cool, limited edition, Alsta Nautoscaph "Jaws" watch on the premium Hooper bracelet. Note that this is one of the first run, limited edition, references so it is more rare, more valueable and has that long-term collector appeal with greater than normal valuation appreciation. As the reader probably knows, the Alsta Nautoscaph was the watch worn by Richard Dreyfuss --- "Hooper" --- in the cinematic masterpiece that was Jaws. No movie has ever used a menacing, repatitive musical score to send shivers up your back like Jaws. In 1975, I was but a young boy growing up in a beach town. So yes, it impacted my Gulf of Mexico swimming enjoyment just a little bit. This watch is a thoughtful remake of that timepiece with an amazing desire to capture the key screen accurate details of the original but then provide those in a more modern and reliable timepiece. For instance, the watch size was increased slightly to 38mm. A super-reliable and easy to service Japanese movement was incorporated. And a freshly proportioned bracelet --- again, capturing the screen accurate nature of Hooper's... right down to the cool, retro "portholes"... was machined for this beauty. The whole package is a cohesive tribute to the original and is a limited edition with only 1975 made of course! It is rare and collectible but perhaps more importantly a quality dive watch that can be worn, enjoyed and used daily.Of course we are bringing the best value on the internet because we tirelessly source our inventory and inspect very closely upon receipt for quality and authenticity. We are extremely thorough in our listings and we still absolutely encourage questions regarding the timepieces. If you have questions regarding the specifications, provenance, history, etc., no problem. Just ask if you have a question! We only deal in 100% real watches because reputation is critical for us and in this industry in particular. We always have the inventory in our possession. We do not do the broker thing. The condition of this watch is as follows: Pre-owned in outstanding condition. The bracelet still has the plastic wrapping on it. I did swap it out to a black and a white rubber tropic strap so tiny evidence of strap changes or storage or wear (from the "model shot" of it on my wris) may exist. Because we only want timepiece customers who are delighted with their purchase, we strive to add some additional insight to help you make a great timepiece decision. With that in mind, some additional considerations about this watch include: 1. This watch is medium sized at 38mm and works well on any wrist. It brings a classic look and I can recommend this watch for virtually anybody, male or female, and any wrist size.2. This is a no-nonsense, versatile classic dive watch with an automatic movement, wonderful dive bezel --- love the black to white transition and dual offering of a second time zone or dive minutes counter --- and the dial offers up tremendous visibility under all lighting conditions. 3. The watch is comfortable and with the bracelet it can handle up to an 8 inch wrist. The inclusion of the Hooper bracelet is a large part of the value proposition. I can see this watch working well on a variety of aftermarket straps. Of course, this is a modern timepiece in all aspects but the design ethos has a cool, slightly vintage appeal --- a nod toward a simpler time in diving when the thought of a "diving computer" seemed as strange as putting a man on the moon. 4. The caseback has the oh-so-cool shark engraving: a white shark I would guess... and note that the shark community typically does not use the word Great when describing the white shark from the movie jaws. Key specifications: 30 ATM (300 feet) water resistance, antimagnetic, 100% tested and limited edition numbering. A diver could and should strap this on if you do some serious deep diving --- perhaps on a rubber tropic strap. Use it to back up that dive computer and double check your decompression checkpoints just to be sure. I have no advice if you are to encounter a Carcharodon Carcharias other than it is probably time to surface and use your timing bezel to count your lucky stars. 5. From a daily functionality perspective, visibility and wrist presence are the twin hallmarks on this one. Bold hands and large indices ensure maximum readability and frankly just looks cool. The bracelet brings a definite retro vibe and is a magnet for conversations. 6. A date window complication is provided as well and with the white background on the date the visual tie-in with the white aspects on the bezel which denote the first 15 minutes of counting. 7. Rounding our the listing and the package is the full set of additional collateral and some bonus items. These are all included as you see in the "everything picture." (Pic #2). The case is nice enough for leaving on your desk but also works well as a travel case. The Jaws picture holder is a bit of whimsy and two pictures are included to best feature the timepiece's historical significance in the move Jaws. Put one on your desk and the other on the wall I guess. And of course you get the two "tropic style" rubber straps which are awesome for that vintage diver vibe. I think I prefer it on the black tropic the most. We do not offer a warranty but will work with you to make any post-purchase repairs via advice on where to go and what to do (with no profit for us but paid for by you). Everything we sell is working fine for all functions when it leaves our facility (or more specifically the safe deposit box where our watches reside). In some cases, we can go back to our source and get the watch repaired for free based on our relationship and reputation. We should always be the first port-of-call if there is an issue. 100% delighted customers so far and we aim to keep it that way. Please examine the pictures, what you see is what you get. The only exceptions are the black case that we photoraph on and the English Bull Dog which we put in our group shots because we think it looks great. The Bull Dog is a James Bond tie-in and we kind of really like James Bond. And finally, we are an Atlanta based business but we also operate out of North Florida (some inventory in both places) as I like to include my brother in the business some. Thank you for your consideration, Steve
