Most track/fixed gear rear hubs come with flip-flop hubs. One side, the fixed side, has standard two-step threading for a track cog and a specific left-threaded track hub lock ring. The other side, the free side, has standard freewheel threading, 1.37 x 24, to accept a single speed freewheel. However, this free side can also be used for a track cog but it needs to be secured, which can be done with a right threaded bottom bracket lock ring because it has the same size threading.
