Description: Rare Antique solid cast iron bookends .in original condition black high heat baked Crinkle finish and the white is a strong Baked Enamel paint as well in very good untouched condition with minor chipping ...found in a Estate sale in Upstate NY a few years ago in a old farmhouse ...steel Rivets are tight and hold the back to the bottom base and 2 screws hold the penguins in place ..there looks like a makers mark or name but i could not make it out ...there may have been felt or cork on the bottom and back of the bookends but this is how i got them with nothing on the bottom and back and there were no signs of old glue ...But its a easy thing to put in place if you think its necessary
