Description: This listing is for an Antique 19th C Watercolor Signed G. Bruno Painting Pretty Italian Girl & her regions fashion & Jewelry. It is Signed merely as G. Bruno. It is completely hand painted with extreme skill in exacting detail. The facial features & flesh tones are exceptional, and extremely lifelike. I believe it to be from the late 1800s (19th century) based on the gallery tag from the Wunderly Bros on the back. They were a revered Pittsburgh PA art gallery owned by a pair of brothers in the 1800s-1910s. They often traveled between Europe and the US to bring new art in from afar. I am unfortunately not sure who the subject was, though with such a skilled rendition a match possibly could be found with some work. The design is excellent for many rooms and a large variety of decor styles. It makes this an excellent staple piece for your collection, one your friends definitely won’t have! A great collectors item, for use display gifting or decor. It is in good condition, with no major damage. No fading or discoloration anywhere nor any stains. Frame appears to be original, and originally appears to have been ornate, with its delicate decorations lost over time. Could be left as is, very presentable still, or reframed.
