Please remember, this is a big doll, and thus quite heavy. She needs a big box to be safely shipped. That means it is pricey. i do not set shipping rates!This auction is for a 25" Carl Hartmann doll. She was made sometime between 1900 & 1930. Because there is no mold number I am unable to date it closer than that. HEAD: no hairline cracks, it has been back lit. Any stray lines are most likely hair strands but please ask. Her brown sleep eyes are antique but not original to the doll. She does not have pierced ears. The original 4 front teeth are present. She has a synthetic mohair blonde wig. The head will be packed for shipping. I will attach the pate and wig in only 1 place so this can be removed.MARKS: (as they appear on head)The Carl Hartman cipher GermanyBODY: It is a common 15 piece body without a stamp. It is tightly strung to sit or stand well. It probably is not original to the doll. I had her displayed sitting but she should do well on a stand. Her fingers are all intact, no repairs, and are a matched set. Toes are intact. It has the usual dings. It is not stampedCLOTHING: She has a vintage (?antique?) dotted Swiss button down back dress. It is dressed up with a big blue ribbon sash. She has a matching set modern made underpants and full slip. The underpants were sewn closed at waist so it will be shipped pinned. She has reproduction crocheted socks. Her shoes are antique. The main shoe part is felt, the white coating is flaking off. SHIPPING Shipping is an estimate. I put in estimated total weight and package size, Ebay gives you a price based on that and the distance it will travel from Connecticut. I will ship the least expensive way possible. The package will be insured for the value paid. It is included in the shipping cost. THE BOX/PACKING WILL NOT LOOK PRETTY OR ELEGANT BUT THE CONTENTS WILL BE SECURE. THESE MATERIALS MAY BE PLASTIC MILK CARTONS, NEWSPAPERS, EMPTY FOOD PACKAGES, ETC. These all have been washed in hot soapy water and allowed to dry completely.
