Description: My usual basic description with all the needed details, none of the flowery sales pitch stuff. PICTURES ARE PART OF THE DESCRIPTION. Please look carefully. Please ask for more pictures if needed. The stand is included. I don't know exactly what year she was made. This auction is for a 24" Max Handwerck doll on a 13 piece tightly strung ball jointed body. HEAD: There are no hairline cracks, it has been back lit. Any stray lines are most likely hair strands but please ask. Her brown sleep eyes are antique and appear original to the doll. . She does not have pierced ears. The original 4 front teeth are present. There is a dimple on her upper lip. Her auburn mohair wig has been "modified" by a previous owner but still looks sweet. There is a lot of original(?) wig glue on the back of the head that I cannot get off. She has a paint rub on the left cheek.MARKS: (as they appear on head)MaxHandwerckGermany 3 with elevated 5.Body The 13 piece body is in very good condition. It is unlikely to be original to the head. It is tightly strung and can hold a pose. It has the usual dings found on a body of this age. As shown in pictures there is finish missing from left lower arm, left foot. The fingers are intact, no repairs. It is not stampedClothesHer bonnet is antqiue. It had silk covering but across the back has flaked off leaving the buckram form. She has reproduction shoes, socks, panties, chemise. The chemise had been slip stitched shut. I had to take it off for pictures, cannot sew it back on. Her dress is antique cream silk with a printed pattern on the skirt. There is melting of the right back bodice and sleeve as shown in the last picture but still works very well. Also a small area is present on the skirt. It closes with buttons. There is a tie around the waist. Shipping is an estimate. I put in estimated total weight and package size, Ebay gives you a price based on that and the distance it will travel from Connecticut. I will ship the least expensive way possible. The package will be insured for the value paid. It is included in the shipping cost. I expect payment within 3 days of purchase or receipt of invoice unless otherwise agreed. Please ask for invoice after commiting to buy but before paying to get more accurate shipping charge.I will combine shipping when I can. Large dolls are difficult to ship togehter. Ask. ALL COMBINED PURCHASES MUST BE PAID FOR TOGETHER SINCE I CAN'T INSURE IT PROPERLY OTHERWISE. Dolls cannot be shipped with the wigs. INTERNATIONAL: SHIPPING THROUGH EBAY INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING PROGRAM ONLY!!!PLEASE CHECK IF THERE IS A DOLLAR LIMIT FOR YOUR COUNTRY. I am not a professional dealer. I am selling my collection of 1000+ dolls, accumulated over 40 years. Many of these have been put together with parts bought separately over years. I describe to the best of my ability. FOR PACKING I USE PREVIOUSLY USED BOXES, CLEAN PLASTICS THAT CAN BE RECYCLED, NOT NEW PACKING MATERIALS. THE HEAD IS WRAPPED IN EITHER NEW OR USED BUBBLE WRAP. THE BOX/PACKING WILL NOT LOOK PRETTY OR ELEGANT BUT THE CONTENTS WILL BE SECURE. THESE MATERIALS MAY BE PLASTIC MILK CARTONS, NEWSPAPERS, EMPTY FOOD PACKAGES, ETC. These all have been washed in hot soapy water and allowed to dry completely.
