Description: Very nice original JNO W. BROWN Model 540 headlight Oil Headlamp headlight made for Ford Mtr. Co. to fit most of their early models from 1915-1922, all of the non-starter vehicles. It has the model number under the Ford script on top: Model 540. This is identical to their rear lamps EXCEPT the model number of the rear lights is 560 and those lamps came with the ruby, or red lens. Good antique condition. No dents, deep scratches, or chips. The wick knob operates smoothly and the wick moves easily. The original brass plating for the lens rim is mostly or completely gone. The lamp has some surface rust, but has not eaten in to the metal. The paint is mostly chipped, scratched and worn away. Good candidate for refurb or display as is.
