Description: Antique Framed Print, NAPOLEON Inspecting Elba Cavalry Regiment, Chelminski Click images to enlarge Description ANTIQUE NAPOLEON PRINT Wonderful antique framed color print of Napoleon Bonaparte inspecting the Elba squadron of the 1st Polish Light Cavalry Regiment measuring 11" wide by 6-1/2" deep - original painting was done by Polish artist Jan Chelminski (1851-1925). Housed under glass in a lovely gold painted wood frame with decorative raised border, image is crisp, colorful and beautifully detailed. Back bears ink dip pen notation of the artist and location - assuming it dates 1920s or so based on the paper backing. Condition is very nice with no damage - a hint of frame rubbing from age. Recently acquired from the estate of an avid Napoleon Bonaparte collector who originally purchased it in France. Lovely addition to any home, collection or display!
