Description: ANTIQUE mechanical GERMAN HEART-SHAPED VALENTINE googly-eyed girl Fun antique heart-shaped greeting card features a cute girl with big googly eyes. The card's action mechanic is the girls eyes. Pull on her tongue and her eyes move up and down. Pull on her hair ribbons and the eyes move back and forth. Card is printed with a full color chromolithographic process on heavy paper stock. Valentine card measures 3 1/2" x 4". Card is clearly marked; "Printed in Germany" on the lower left border edge. Valentine was printed circa 1920. 1920's antique German Valentine card is clean with no fading, stains or tears. There is a light crease in the cleavage of the heart (top edge). Some light paper browning on the back. Valentine has writing in pencil on the back; "James Russell from Arlene Jones". Mechanical action is tight. Printed area has no image loss.
