Description: I am guessing this miniature sedan chair is from China and that it pre-dates the Communist Revolution of 1949!! It is all hand carved with each figure having a slightly different size and face!! The bearers have lettering on their chests!! The sedan chair has carvings in the outside panels, and the occupants face can be seen through the windows!! There is also a small "jar" on the floor inside the enclosure!! I am not certain if it had a roof panel as there is no glue residue or perhaps it was removable and is missing!! Otherwise it is in EXCELLENT condition with one tiny crack in the right panel at the top edge (see the last photo!!)!! Approx. The bearers are approx. 3" high with the sedan at 2 5/8" and the base is 6.5" X 1.5"!! This is a wonderful addition to any miniature collection!!
