Description: This is a hand painted antique white china serving bowl with exotic pink orchids on the inside of the bowl against lavender brushstrokes. Pointed green leaf spikes add contrast. There are two small curved handles on opposite sides and the edge is trimmed in gold. The painted flowers are bright and clear, but the gold trim has worn thin around the edge. It stands 2" tall, and measures 8-1/2" across the top including the handles. The bottom of the bowl is stamped in red with the Noritake "M Wreath Mark", which stands for Morimura, and dates the piece to the early 1920's. "Japan" is printed under the mark. This bowl is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or crazing. It's looks like it's been used quite a bit, but handled with care. It displays beautifully!
