Description: This painting of two hunting dogs is by the Belgian artist Paul Schouten (1860-1922). Paul is the half brother of the also well known painter Henry Schouten. Paul specialized in paintings of dogs, cattle and other animals. This painting is a classic example of his work with good detail and rich colors. It is in good antique condition with some crazing of the paint. The frame is not original but pairs well with the painting. The frame has slight cracks and scratches (see photos).
