This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE tin ash tray put out by the DAVID G EVANS COFFEE Co of ST LOUIS MISSOURI and dating back to early 1900. Tins read: "OLD JUDGE Irradiated COFFEE SETTLES THE QUESTION ... DAVID G. EVANS COFFEE CO ST LOUIS, MO." with picture of an Owl perched on a branch. Condition: This ash tray is in good solid condition. It has light surface wear from use and age but there's nothing specifically wrong with it. PLEASE see pictures to get the best idea of overall appearance and condition. You do NOT find these ash trays in this excellent condition, the majority of them were burnt out and thrown out. Again, it has great pictures of a little OWL perched on a branch which was the TRADE MARK of the David Evans Coffee Co in St Louis Missouri, reaching all the way back to the late 1800's. There are even SPICE TINS, COFFEE JARS and SYRUP FLASKS that have this same trade mark, the Owl on a limb, making these antique containers quite collectible today, check it out!
