Antique/Vintage Tall Large Composition Doll. As Found

Description: Antique Very Tall Large Composition Doll. As Found. I will end and return list this item regularly until sold. Old Shop Stock. A very large unusual doll. A Walking Doll? I understand this doll is 1930’s. Has a wig. Mohair. Would suit Adult Collector. Requires lots of dedicated work. The head and face is large. Cardboard skull and face. Cracks in the face. The top of skull which is cardboard is completely off. Damage and wear on the face and ears etc. Cracks on face. Old parts wig in place on face etc. Lines for eyebrows. No original wig. A wig with ringlets for a 15” 16” doll. Feels quite grubby. Opening and closing large eyes with thick lashes. Nose and open mouth with teeth and red lips. Tongue moves. Body is like some kind of cardboard coated in something. (Maybe an outer shell and plaster? Composition.)? ) Mumma on the front of dolls tummy. Does not work. Below the waist is some kind of stained dirty gauze. Which is original. Large arms move. Old wire sticking up towards the shoulders. Arms are shiny and have marks and runs in the ‘paint’. Large hands. The forefinger has broken off. Enclosed herewith! Cracks on the fingers. Large long legs are attached to the body. I’m sure wood has been used. Metal inside doll. Legs are very marked. Age related,wear and damage. I can see a crack on her knee. Bad cracks on the legs. Please try and see photo’s. Very old grubby shoes. Held together with thin elastic. Shoes possibly original? Haven’t attempted to remove. Old dirty socks. The removal of socks and shoes could cause some damage to paint etc. Please be aware of this. This doll has plenty of problems. I’m sure somebody could spend many hours repairing everything! No Makers name or number that I can see. Maybe Foreign? Any overpayment on the shipping will be returned. Will have to be Insured. As I have said. The doll is very large and would suit an Adult collector who is prepared to spend lots of time repairing her. Lots of faults and damage which I’m sure could be overcome. Approx. Measurements. 34 inches from top of head to toes. Edge of scalp/face 4. 1/2 inches. Neck to between the legs 12. 1/2 inches. Palm to fore finger 3 inches. Legs. Not joints or feet etc. 14. 1/2 inches.
