Description: A truly stunning genuine Art Deco glass plafonnier by Degue. Has the silk hanging cords and brass fittings. Measures 35cm diameter. Finished in satin and frosted glass with a heavy floral design in relief pattern, very Odeanesque. Great condition age ,only some faint inner top marks as shown in one photo - i.e. to be picky as impossible to be seen when the shade is hung ; could be polished out, but not really necessary. Amazingly no marks to the outside (showing side). For shipping the cord and fittings will be removed for safety in transport. Signed Degue in the glass. Degue (1892-1950) designed glass panels for the luxury cruise liners Normandie, and produced some of the most stunning glass designs of the Art Deco period.
