Description: AUTHENTIC Antique Coat Hooks (Reclaimed) - ca. 1890. These coat hooks were reclaimed from the wooden lockers in the employee locker rooms of the Wyman Gordon Foundry in Harvey, IL. This facility was established just before World War I, so it is believed they were cast between 1890 and 1910. The foundry was demolished in the 1980's and there are still many available for you to own. The hooks protrude from the mounting surface 3 1/4", are approximately 2 1/2" tall on the mounting surface, and have mounting holes one inch apart. They were once painted black but are variably worn and do have bare patched of surface rust that give an even more charming patina.
