Description: This vintage doll is a nice find. She has an imprint at the base of the head that reads BERJUSA 53. Her body is cloth and the head, arms and legs are vinyl. Her hair is curly and eyes are hazel or a golden color. She is African American or bi-racial. Due to the stitching, the dress appears hand sewn, but it was done by someone with alot of skill. The outfit is done in three sections. The matching leggings extend just past the knees and have pleated lace at the edges. It is covered by a sleeveless dress, made of medium weight fabric, trimmed in lace. The waist of the dress is pleated. This is covered by a silky see-through pink material that forms the outer layer of the dress and sleeves. This third layer of material is also pleated at the waist and trimed in pleated lace. The trim above the lace has simulated diamonds, and intricate decorations. The doll does have an ink mark on it's forehead, a spot on the shoulder of the dress and a slight tear in the waist pleating. Due to the style of material and other research, I would expect this item to be from the early 1980's.
