Description: This is a 5” x 5” newspaper photo signed by three major league managers. The key signature is Hall of Famer, Billy Southworth, who passed away in 1969, many years before he was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2008. Also signed by Cleveland Indians and Chicago White Sox great, Luke Sewell, and St. Louis Cardinals great, Marty Marion. As the caption says this photo was taken at the Baseball Winter Meetings, but doesn’t give the year. The year can be pinpointed to 1950 as Marion was hired in 1950 to manage the Cardinals in 1951, and 1951 was the only season Marion managed the Cardinals and Southworth resigned as Manager of the Braves in June, 1951. Photo has a few spots of paper on the back where it was mounted in an album at some time in the past. I guarantee the autographs will pass any reputable third party authenticator. I mail all packages with secure padding and USPS tracking which protects your item and protects both buyer and seller. If you win many items in my auctions, wait for a combined invoice for all items won before paying and make a single payment and I will combine shipping charges with only a nominal increase for additional items to save you postage costs.
