Description: An interesting collection of 77 Church Hill Corner Notched points & pieces recovered by Fleming Thornton from the 15 Ch 217 site in Christian County, Kentucky. This is the site where the original Church Hill provisional point type was first identified by Thomas N. Sanders ("The Church Hill Projectile Point, A Provisional Type from Christian County, Kentucky", Kentucky Archaeological Association, Bulletin 1, 1979. pp. 64-66). These points, like those used by Sanders, were surface finds recovered before Sanders visited the site. Carl Yahnig told me this collection was a better collection of the provisional type than the smaller collection (found by Carl Yahnig) that Sanders used to define the type. Almost all, if not all, are made of Hopkinsville chert. Guaranteed authentic. Satisfaction guaranteed, 30 day no-questions-asked returns (buyer pays return shipping).
