c.1889 Crown Staffordshire England Floral Bouquet Tea Set First Mark Wreath

Description: Recent find from a North Carolina estate. Offering a very early Crown Staffordshire tea set with the Laurel Wreath mark. This was the very first mark used by Crown Staffordshire from their inception in 1889 until approximately 1916. The word England was added around 1906 and these pieces do not carry the "England" mark. Set includes the teapot, open sugar bowl, creamer and four cups with saucers in a floral bouquet or spray pattern. There are some modest condition concerns that have very low impact on the display value of this set. The teapot shows some discoloration on the inside and the underside as well as some extremely slight roughness on the bottom edge of the spout; may be just gold wear that was touched up. The sugar bowl has a very slight and tiny dimple on the edge, but this may have been original to the production of this piece; incredibly small. One cup has two tiny chips on the rim, but one chip has caused a very tight and nearly impossible to see hairline. We've done our best to document these inclusions in the last six photos following the various measurement photos. Nothing is overly significant and as mentioned, unless examined very closely, nothing is readily visibly when displayed. Overall this set displays amazingly well and visibly looks outstanding for its age. This is a very early set and is quite rare. Please review all pictures for design, dimensions and condition.
