Practically speaking, it CAN be played with either the Old or New editions of Carcassonne, but the artwork on the tiles won't be quite a perfect match if it is played with the Old/Original/Classic version of Carcassonne, produced prior to 2014. Expansion pack contains a total of 4 (four) game tiles. Each of the four large game tiles is the size equivalent of 5 Carcassonne standard game tiles. A new Carcassonne mini-expansion series awaits you: The Wonders of Humanity. We start with Set I , in which you can discover the first 4 miracle tiles in Tetris shape: Stonehenge, Notre Dame, Circus Maximus and Alhambra. The wonders of humanity have reached Carcassonne. Each of them brings you individual advantages. But everyone can only use one per game. Secure a suitable miracle quickly so that you can benefit from it as often as possible! This expansion is played as an add-on to the basic Carcassone game (not included), and cannot be played as a stand-alone game.
