Description: Welcome! I love a good box and have quite a large selection to choose from in my Boxes/Trinket Dishes category - go check them all out. They make such great and thoughtful gifts and for someone who is short on storage, a welcome addition to any room! I believe this box is hand carved and has a tramp art feel to it. Made of what I believe is Cedar wood, it has been lacquered and shows quite a bit of patina from that method. It definitely gives it character and the dog image on the front makes it feel very cottage core. In other words, it will fit in nicely into many types of decor. I have carefully realigned the back hinge (the pin was pushing out) so you'll want to keep an eye on that. A new hinge is an easy fix if it bothers you! NOTE: The lid doesn't sit completely straight. I've given it a gentle cleaning but I did NOT clean the dog image. I'll leave that for the new owner. Measurements in photos.
