Description: This is a very large size 1939 hardcover. If you are familiar with this book, then you understand the size and weight. This book is in very good shape and I will explain why. There are just a few previous markings in pencil from the previous owner, but the book is 99% free of marks. It also includes a vintage Phillips planisphere, which is in an outstanding working order. These books have paper that is very susceptible to tears, and I painstakingly went through each page and repaired any tears I could find with Linco archival quality mending tape. The pages in general are now in excellent shape, and you probably will not even be able to tell I made any kind of a small repair with the Linco tape. The book is not moldy and not musty, but it has a very faint odor of either fireplace or tobacco. On a scale of one to 10 it is about a one and a half. It’s not anything that should bother anyone.
