Contax RTS III Film Tested No LCD Leak WORKS With Batteries Microprism Screen

Description: Film tested Contax RTS III. Camera works fine, most of the problems are in the viewfinder. The LCD has no leaks, but is sometimes a little dim (hard to tell if it's typical of the RTS III or an actual fault). The real problem is a half-functioning diopter adjustment and a bunch of dust in the finder. As shown in the listing images you can still see perfectly fine through it (looks worse in the iphone camera really) but when the sun's close to center of frame or just looking through it from farther away the dust is really apparent. The diopter is loose, so while it generally sits at about a 0 diopter adjustment is quite difficult and gets wiggly. The eyepiece shutter can sometimes get bound -- just push in a little on the leaf with the red dot and it'll free up. If you don't use it you won't have a problem. Other than these issues, the camera functions pretty much perfectly. In my experience the date back prints information between the frames just fine, all speeds and modes work with MM lenses, the meter is accurate and responds fast, and the motor drive is quite solid. Other functions, like PC sync, preflash metering, MLU, the side shutter release, etc. work well also. I can't attest to the RTV system being useful but I do think it works. Attached are some sample images. It has a microprism screen (FV-2), installed by a previous owner. This is a very solid camera that served me well. It balances long telephotos very well - I used a Tamron 60B (300/2.8) on it for birds and airplanes - but it also sits nicely with smaller lenses like a Contax 50mm or 28mm, unlike the AX. I'm selling to downgrade, which is why I'm not including the strap. I just like the size so I'm keeping it for my next SLR.
