THE HAWAIIAN FORM HAS BLACK-BROWN INTERSTACES STAINING BETWEEN THE TEETH THAT MAKES THEM UNIQUE. NEVER REALLY APPRECIATED THIS DIFFERENCE UNTIL I DOVE TAHITI TO THE PHILIPPINES & HANGA ROA WITH MICHELE FROM THE COUSTEAU SOCIETY. THEN I NOTICED IT'S WHITE TO CREAME TINGED EXCEPT FOR EASTER ISLAND WHICH IS EVEN DARKER THEN THE HAW'N FORMS. UNDER AN INCH AND OVER 30MM IS RARE. AVERAGE SIZE IS 25-29MM. MOST ARE BLOTCHED, FLAWED & PITTED. I LEAVE THOSE ALONE. I ONLY TAKE THE TOP % OF WHAT I FIND BUT NO MORE THAN A FEW A DAY. I HAVEN'T OFFERED THIS SPECIES SINCE 1995 AS I JUST FOUND SOME IN STORAGE.
