Description: Up for auction is this Highly Desirable, c. 1908 E. Howard & Co. Pocket Watch with Fancy Watch Chain & Masonic Fob! E. Howard & Co, Boston, series 5, model 1907, 19J, gold settings; adjusted to 5 positions, ischronism & temperature; gold-filled open face case with plain polished rear, white enamel double sunk dial, stem wind/ stem set, straightline nickel damascene with center and (2) straight finger bridges, serial #970303. (see photos) The movement is running after winding and setting, excellent cosmetic movement condition overall, bright plates with many scattered micro-fine scratches. We have absolutely no idea how long this has sat, or what parts/ pieces may be scratched and/ or missing. (see photos) The double-sunk, white glass enamel dial with fancy black stylized Arabic numerals and red 5 minute & second outer edge indexes. There are no flakes or hairlines. (see photos) The original, 14K yellow gold filled round case with stirup style bow, shows very light wear, with a few light impressions, cuvette outer observe & reverse underside each with a scratch, and movement oxidation, front bezel, back over & cuvette hinged with no overplay, tight bow, crown and stem assembly present; glass crystal. (see photos) Watch is attached by a lightly worn fancy yellow gold chain measuring 13” long x 4mm thick with fancy twisted toggle bar, and further accented by yellow gold filled a round blue enamel Masonic fob.
