Description: Eight (8) Freshly cut 10" to 12" long healthy stems (with diameter averaging 1/8" to 3/8")with viable buds, from at least two different trees. I wait to cut them off the tree till the morning of mailing, then immediately carefully wrap them in a plastic bag with a wet paper towel around the cut ends. I currently have about 7 cherry trees, and have planted many different varieties around ten the years ago including (Bing, Van, Black Tartarian, Lambert, Stella, and Rainier). I only keep the best, some of which are pictured. I no longer now which is which variety, so please don't ask. Personally, I've found (using some left over cuttings) simply putting them in a few inches of water for a week or two inside, the buds start to swell and green. I've then gently inserted some into rich soil, and always keep them wet (to prevent shocking the leaves with water loss).
