Description: This is the silk-screened Endless Summer 50th anniversary poster by John van Hamersveld from 2013. It is in NM condition. In '64 Hamersveld was an art director for Surfer magazine, where he designed a silkscreen poster using a photograph of the film's two stars and director standing on a beach. In addition, a 29" x 40" head shop version of the poster was produced and sold widely, and this is how most people became aware of the design---the head shop poster is much better known than the movie poster it was based upon. This poster is of strong interest to rock poster collectors, who consider it the first important day-glo poster design. In 2013, Hamersveld decided to do a 50th anniversary version of the original head shop poster that is slightly smaller, 27 x 39 inches. 5000 copies were printed. The second pic shows the poster framed with black light added. But we are not selling it framed. It will come rolled in a tube. The shipping cost computed here should be correct if you only purchase one item. But if you purchase multiple items, the actual cost should not be much more th an the cost of a single item.
