Rectangular frame made of carved wood and decorated with a series of fine, smooth mouldings on the inside and a flat area on the outside, in which right-angled projections have been left towards the corners (at the tip of these there are four “diamonds” with “Cs” with volutes, joined together by a ring and arranged with the opening towards the corner of the rhombuses). This is an unusual model due to its decoration and because it presents an ancient inscription on the back that identifies the work as belonging to (or perhaps made by, although the usual “fecit” is not mentioned), a certain Don Francisco (the rest of the text has not been able to be identified with certainty, it could be a surname or a reference to the grace of God -dei-). · Size: 38x4x48 cms.
