Fraureuth/PMS Bavaria Cake Plates, Tea Cups, Saucers 1930s Dessert Set 18 Pieces

Description: Here is an exquisite vintage (more likely antique) dessert set from Fraureuth Saxony & PMS, crafted in elegant porcelain with a hand-painted floral pattern in multi-color within a gold edged surround. This unusual original set includes 6 dessert plates (7 1/8" dia), 6 cups (2" hgt), and 6 saucers (5 1/2" dia), all beautifully finished with a pastel satin glaze that varies in density. The pieces are crafted in the Art Nouveau style of the 1930s. The condition is very good with no chips, cracks or crazing. Utensil marks are light and few to zero. The eggshell thin cups have thickly gold trimmed handles and a small scuff in the same spot, see last photo, likely from stacking within one another. Crafted in Bavaria, this uniquely patterned set of 18 pieces makes a beautiful and delicate "Cake and Coffee" service group for six place settings. The cups and saucers have no backstamp. On the plates, two are marked "PMS Bavaria" and four are marked "PF Saxony". It appears two different German porcelain factories produced the glossy white blanks that were then hand painted and fired by another company. The PF Saxony mark of the Fraureuth Porcelain Factory dates to pre-1930. Thanks for looking.
