Description: Freiberger Drum sextant Number 810186 in perfect working order. I brought this sextant 2 years ago from a property developer who bought an old warehouse. This was one of 2 brand new unused sextant among the goods there. I have only used this for my RYA Ocean qualification. It has just come back from an Atlantic circuit, still perfect. It has original instructions book, quality control deviations card (Dated 02 Feb 1982) and mirror adjustment key. The original keys for the box lock are still with their tar rope! Don't worry it never even had a splash of seawater and I wiped it over with fresh water and WD40 regularly. This is a delightful precise instrument to use I frequently had shots within a couple of miles of my position, the index error is only 2 minutes and the optic is awsome, very precise focus and clear at dawn and dusk. I tried another Captains plastic sextant that was so awful I could barely see a star in it and the index error was over 60 minutes. Make life easy for yourself! I have added a lanyard. The only imperfection is a crack in one shade as shown in the last photo. This honestly does not effect the sights, it was present when I purchased it probably a result of closing the box with the mirror in the wrong position.
