After signing in, the computer idles and only shows the desktop background. I’ve found that by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del and terminating the Rundll32 process the desktop icons suddenly appear and everything starts working normally. Laptop only works when plugged in with AC adapter. CD ROM drive is noisy but it was able to read a couple of discs I tried. USB ports also work. I don’t hear any sound coming from the speakers but this could be a driver related issue. I have not tested anything else - modem/phone jack, infrared sensor, floppy disk drive, video outputs, auxiliary/mic or audio outputs. Pictures are of actual laptop and AC adapter you’ll receive.
