Description: HUM 280 Stormy Weather - TMK-5 - First Edition Diameter 10.25" This is the First Edition of three Anniversary plates. Each plate was produced in five year intervals, 1975/1980/1985. At the end of the year of release, all molds were destroyed. Like every charming "M.I. Hummel" collectible, the bas-relief plates are created completely by hand. Each plate measures 10" in diameter (this one is slightly larger), has the "M.I. Hummel" signature, and has a special inscription on the back: "W. GOEBEL PORZELLANFABRIK M.I. HUMMEL ANNIVERSARY PLATE HAND PAINTED RODENTAL - WEST GERMANY NOT TO BE USED FOR FOOD" affixed by blue decal. Each plate also has the year, title of hummel displayed, number in series, Hummel Number and trademark. This one is labeled "Stormy Weather." The original issue price was $100 in 1975. Oversized - Hummel plate exceeds the catalog's listed circumference of 10" by about a quarter of an inch, measuring about 10.25" in diameter. Comes with Blue Goebel "FIRST ANNIVERSARY PLATE" Pamphlet, Orange Goebel Plate Sheet and original box with inner styrofoam plate holder and protector. First Edition in a series of three large 5-Year Anniversary Plates. (1975) Limited Production - Quantities produced were limited to one year of production and all molds were destroyed at the end of the year. Box has harder to find Goebel 50407 TMK-5 Label on back corner. Closed Edition. (CE) Hummel plate is in New In Box condition! No Repairs! No Chips! No Touch Ups! There are three small lines of crazing on the back of the plate by the "NOT TO BE USED FOR FOOD" text. No Crazing Anywhere Else on the front or back of the plate!
