Firstly, my Cousin just drove to visit after like a 500 mile road trip from California - and when we talked on the phone ... he's says, yeah - so I remembered to bring Workingman's Dead - since it's such great ' Driving Music '. I like that !! And then my Buddy walks into my house a few days later and says ... there's this crazy Festival Show going on in Virginia - a real-crazy line-up ... like Neil Young - Widespread Panic - John Fogerty - Jimmy Cliff - etc. - etc. and Furthur too ! ... and Furthur's going to play " Workingman's " in Entirety !! I really-like that !!! See what I mean ... here it is close 50-Years ! later - and this 1970 Album came up twice in my Home just recently - like it always seems to. Any talk about ' Workingman's ' is just so-well deserved ... wherever ! & whenever !! This Album just means That ! much - and who ever thought that just 8-tracks could mean that much ... close to 45-Years later !!?!!! But, it's Workingman's. And the 1970 Grateful Dead They made'em count ... even if it was just 8-Tracks. Mesmerizing G.D ... and much in a pure ' stripped-down ' G.D. form - that almost didn't even seem G.D. in '70 - way, way, Way ! ahead of it's time. Amazing. And the best part about this Remaster ? Other than the pristine remastered quality of these 8-Tracks ... well, it's the 7 additional ! tracks that follow !!!!!!! Serious G.D. ... and 7 of the 8 ? Well, they are even " Live " !
